Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, picking & packing, and materials handling to guarantee timely and accurate deliveries.
- Coordinate transportation management systems (TMS) and road transportation operations to optimize freight costs and delivery schedules.
- Oversee inventory management processes, including inventory control, cycle counting, and warehouse management system (WMS) updates to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Lead procurement efforts by sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
- Implement process improvements utilizing data analysis skills and supply chain analytics to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage team performance through effective dispatching, team management, training on forklift operation, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Ensure regulatory compliance across all logistics activities including shipping logistics, transportation safety regulations, and customs requirements for international trade.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in logistics management or supply chain operations within a logistics company environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles including demand planning, category management, procurement, and freight forwarding (NVOCC).
- Technical proficiency with ERP systems (such as AS400 or similar), warehouse management systems (WMS), CMMS software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Hands-on experience with transportation planning tools like Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and fleet management software.
- Knowledge of shipping logistics including packaging standards, materials handling equipment such as forklifts, and dispatching procedures.
- Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs documentation, and e-commerce logistics solutions.
- Excellent data analysis skills to interpret supply chain metrics and improve operational performance.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing teams in fast-paced environments while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Ability to adapt quickly to evolving supply chain demands while maintaining high levels of customer service excellence.
