- Early Childhood Special Education Inclusion Teachers
- Early Elementary Autism (K-1) – Self-Contained Classroom
- Early Elementary Resource Room Teachers
You will be part of a collaborative educational environment, working Monday through Friday, helping to address a range of behavioral and academic needs across early childhood and elementary levels.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Michigan Teaching Certificate required
- Preferred endorsements: LD (Learning Disabilities), EI (Emotional Impairment), CI (Cognitive Impairment), or ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
- Compliance with “Highly Qualified” status as outlined under NCLB
- Experience with early childhood or elementary-age students with disabilities
- Strong skills in adapting curriculum, implementing IEPs, and utilizing evidence-based strategies
- Effective communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Emergency or temporary credentials cannot be considered for these roles
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized and group instructional plans
- Create an inclusive and supportive classroom climate
- Monitor and track student progress toward IEP goals
- Collaborate with staff, therapists, and administrators
- Engage families in the educational process and support strategies at home
