We are looking for an organized, energetic, and fun Coteacher to join our growing early preschool classroom. Responsibilities would include leading a classroom by implementing curriculum and working with your co-teacher to create a fully functioning classroom designed to help children grow and develop.
Responsibilities:
- Work with co-teacher under the guidance of the Director and Assistant Director to implement age appropriate, whole child, curriculum
- Ensure compliance of policies and procedures as well as State of Michigan licensing standards from all faulty/volunteers within the classroom.
- Provide high-quality childcare at all times
- Collaborate on day-to-day operations and management, including children and families in your assigned classroom
- Maintain weekly classroom budget
- Communicate with parents regarding day to day care and development
Requirements:
- Approved Lead Teacher status per the State of Michigan licensing (MiLEAP) or strong desire to obtain
- Complete a comprehensive background check through the Child Care Background Check (CCBC) system
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a licensed child care facility
- Working knowledge of the State of Michigan Child Care Regulations
- Experience with curriculum and parent communication
- Must have strong organizational skills and classroom management
- Willingness to become a solo lead teacher in the future
Employment Package
- Start Date: ASAP
- Hours and hourly wage: $16-$19 based on qualifications
- Vacation: 1 week after 6 months, 2 weeks after 1 year adding an additional week each year or employment

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
