Our 1 doctor practice is looking for an experienced Ophthalmic/optometric Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ophthalmology/optometry and be comfortable with a variety of tasks, including pretesting-ar/ak, tonometry, retinal photos, visual fields, OCT's, taking patient histories, visual acuity....., fitting contacts and assisting with other office tasks. The variability in pay is based of experience, speed and accuracy of working up patients, and ability to accurately refract and fit contacts
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic eye exams and tests such as visual acuity, refraction, and tonometry.
- Maintain patient records and document test results.
- Provide patient education on eye care and vision health.
- Assist in the fitting of contact lenses and eyeglasses.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as OCT, retinal photography, and visual field testing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
