Position: Maintenance Assistant
Schedule: Full-Time (Monday–Friday with on call shifts)
White Oak Lancaster is seeking a compassionate and warm-hearted Maintenance Assistant with a desire to make a meaningful, personal impact on the lives of others.

As a vital member of our team, you’ll help ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents and staff. Responsibilities include:
Performing routine maintenance and preventive care on equipment and building systems
Handling repairs (plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical—within scope)
Conducting regular inspections for safety and code compliance
Maintaining grounds, parking areas, and walkways
Monitoring HVAC systems, water temperatures, lighting, and safety equipment
Completing daily/weekly logs and preventative maintenance checklists
Testing emergency generators weekly
Coordinating with other departments to minimize disruption
Supervising or assisting outside contractors
Responding to on-call emergencies as needed
Keeping maintenance areas clean, organized, and safe
Hands-on experience in general maintenance or facilities work
Ability to perform physical tasks and repairs
Strong attention to safety and detail
Dependable, team-oriented, and compassion-driven mindset
Willingness to be on-call for emergencies
