Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support chefs during busy service times.
- Maintain cleanliness in all food prep areas, including counters, sinks, floors, and storage spaces.
- Support catering and banquet setups by preparing ingredients and ensuring timely delivery of supplies.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours and special events.
- Help with general cleaning duties such as trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and restocking supplies to keep the kitchen organized.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Familiarity with food handling safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Experience with catering or banquet service is a plus, demonstrating ability to work efficiently in high-volume settings.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and cleaning procedures.
- Prior hospitality or hotel experience can be advantageous for understanding guest-focused service standards.
