Position Overview
Join us in the summer of 2026 and help us continue the legacy of fostering creativity, nurturing talent, and celebrating the individual artistic journey at Interlochen. We are seeking enthusiastic and proactive Concession Clerks who embody our core values and are committed to nurturing young artists. As a Concessions Clerk, you'll play a major role in bringing joy to campers, guests and other campus visitors all summer long.
What You Get To Do
- Food and drink preparation (and other jobs as assigned) at ALL of our concession locations (Melody Freeze, Grill Tent, Coffee Tent, and CJ's Café); Clerks will be assigned to each area as needed

Maintain good communication with manager, supervisors, co-workers, and customers (including campers)

Maintain high quality standards, safety, and sanitation in all areas

Deliver quality customer service

Keep the inside (counters, rugs, equipment, sink and dishes) and the surrounding campus grounds clean and sanitary

- Compensation: $12.48/hour

This is a seasonal position located in Interlochen, Michigan. Housing is not included for this position, and employees are responsible for arranging their own accommodations.

What You Need
- Availability 6/20/2026 - 8/23/2026

Able to work in an outdoor environment for an extended period.
- Must be able and willing to work nights and weekends, as scheduled

Applicant must know how to run a cash register and be able to correctly count change, and work accurately and responsibly with money

Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to customers' orders

Applicant must be at least 14 years of age at time of application; prefer 16 and older due to late work hours and work permit regulations

Experience at other coffee shops, restaurants, and/or ice cream shops is preferred

Must be willing to work independently and as part of a team, as needed

Must be able and willing to exert fast paced mobility for up to five hours at a time and have good hand and finger dexterity to prepare/serve food and drinks for/to customers
