Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented IV Pharmacy Technician to join our 2nd shift healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care. This position requires strong communication skills, a commitment to patient service, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The IV Pharmacy Technician will assist in medication preparation, and ensure adherence to safety protocols. Sterile Compounding experience required.
Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications for patients, including sterile IV medications and other critical care needs.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications and health-related inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient care activities.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques while preparing medications to ensure safety and efficacy.
- Support the management of acute care medications and collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Keep the pharmacy area organized, clean, and compliant with health regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a related healthcare role is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with IV infusion processes and aseptic techniques is required.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is mandatory.
- IV Certification is mandatory.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
