Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Electrical Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional electrical maintenance, repair, and installation services across diverse commercial and industrial settings. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of electrical systems by applying your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience. Responsibilities
- Diagnose electrical issues using schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals; troubleshoot systems with tools such as ohmmeters and power tools.
- Install, repair, and maintain low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical infrastructure on construction sites or renovation projects to ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively on various job sites.
- Perform low voltage wiring, conduit bending, framing carpentry tasks, and basic handyman repairs as needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including incident reports, inspection logs, and system modifications.
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to high voltage work, schematics interpretation, and construction site procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong background in electrical systems installation and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical wiring and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings related to electrical systems.
- Knowledge of NEC standards for safe electrical practices across different voltage levels.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers; power tools including drills and saws; as well as testing instruments like ohmmeters.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards.
