Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter / Helper to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from residential to commercial spaces, utilizing your painting expertise and handyman skills. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray equipment), and other hand tools with accuracy and efficiency
- Interpret technical drawings and color schemes to execute projects according to specifications
- Perform structural painting tasks on various surfaces such as stucco, drywall, wood, metal, and concrete in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
- Use ladders safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas while adhering to all safety regulations and protocols including respiratory protection measures
- Conduct surface repairs including patching holes, filling cracks, and preparing surfaces for coating or finishing
- Assist with fixture installation, remodeling tasks, maintenance work, and other handyman duties as needed to support project completion
- Follow safety guidelines rigorously during all phases of work to maintain a secure job site environment
Experience
- Previous experience in construction painting or renovation projects is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated learners
- Familiarity with construction site safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators and harnesses
- Proficiency in handling hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless spray systems), brushes, rollers, and surface preparation equipment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately for precise project execution
- Knowledge of color theory for effective visual color comparison and matching during painting projects
- Experience with commercial or industrial painting projects involving coating applications on various surfaces is a plus
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project scope and material estimates
- Hands-on experience with caulking, stucco application, fixture installation, remodeling tasks, or handyman work is advantageous
