American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2+ years of experience, a NC or compact RN license, and EPIC experience.

Work in a hospital Med/Surg Tele unit with telemetry-capable monitoring
-
Primarily general medical-surgical patient population, including observation, respiratory conditions, palliative/hospice, psychiatric observation, diabetes management, and surgical patients
-
Patient ratio of 1:6
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
-
Every other weekend required
-
Holiday coverage as needed
-
Floating required across all campus facilities within the health system

Uses EPIC EMR system
-
Active RN license (NC or Compact) required and must be in hand at time of consideration
-
BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
-
EPIC EMR experience required
-
Previous Charge RN and LTAC experience preferred
-
Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding (two attempts allowed)
-
Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, and oral suctioning
-
Experience with IV therapy, PICC line management, and blood product administration preferred
-
Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
-
Wound care/wound vac experience preferred
-
Experience with pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure care preferred
-
Current driver's license required to verify address
-
Provide direct patient care for a variety of medical-surgical and telemetry patients
-
