Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Cake Froster to join our vibrant bakery team. Responsibilities
- Carefully apply frosting and decorative elements to cakes, ensuring a flawless finish that aligns with design specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, spatulas, piping tools, and other pastry tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing surfaces, tools, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards
- Follow recipes precisely to ensure consistency in flavor, texture, and appearance across all baked goods
- Assist with food preparation tasks
- Package finished cakes securely for delivery or display while adhering to food handling regulations
- Support the team in high-volume production settings by managing multiple orders efficiently and accurately
Experience
- Previous pastry or cake decorating experience in a commercial kitchen or bakery setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with cake decorating techniques such as piping, fondant work, and smoothing finishes
- Hands-on experience with food handling, safety management, and maintaining a clean work environment
- Knowledge of baking principles including dough preparation, baking times, and ingredient ratios
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing portion sizes
- Customer service experience is a plus for interacting with clients during special orders or consultations
