Overview
We are seeking a creative and passionate Floral Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in floral design, horticulture, and customer service, with the ability to create stunning arrangements that meet our clients' needs. This role requires excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Must be able to work five days a week, including Saturdays.
Responsibilities
- Design and create floral arrangements for various occasions, including weddings, events, and everyday celebrations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with their floral selections and offering expert advice on care and maintenance.
- Maintain inventory of flowers and supplies, ensuring freshness and quality at all times.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems and manage cash handling procedures.
- Deliver floral arrangements in our delivery vehicles.
- Process cut flowers as they arrive.
- Some light greenhouse work on occasion.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient stocking of products and maintain an organized workspace.
- Working Saturdays required
- Increase to hours at busy holiday times are required.
Experience
- Proven experience in floral design is required.
- Familiarity with retail sales practices, including cashiering and retail math skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; multilingual abilities are a plus.
- A background in customer service is essential for building rapport with clients and understanding their needs.
