Position Summary:
We are looking for a dependable and skilled Concrete Worker to join our construction team. This role involves preparing, placing, finishing, and curing concrete for a variety of projects, including foundations, sidewalks, slabs, and structural components. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, follows safety standards, and works well as part of a crew.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare job sites by clearing debris, setting forms, and ensuring proper grading
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete using hand tools or machinery
- Set and align forms to project specifications
- Finish surfaces using tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds
- Monitor curing process and apply protective treatments as needed
- Cut expansion joints and repair surface imperfections
- Follow blueprints, project plans, and supervisor instructions
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear required PPE
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in concrete work or construction preferred
- Knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques
- Ability to read and interpret basic construction plans
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs regularly
- Prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
