Duties
- Lead and supervise all store operations, including sales, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service initiatives.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees to build a high-performing retail team aligned with company standards.
- Manage employee orientation and ongoing training to ensure staff are knowledgeable about products, POS systems, and customer engagement techniques.
- Oversee scheduling, shift management, payroll processing, and bookkeeping to maintain operational efficiency.
- Implement effective inventory control practices, including purchasing, stock replenishment, pricing strategies, and stock rotation to maximize sales.
- Handle cash handling procedures, cashiering duties, and POS system management accurately and securely.
- Develop marketing strategies to promote store products and special offers while ensuring visual merchandising standards are maintained.
- Monitor sales performance metrics regularly; analyze retail math data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Maintain excellent communication with staff through managerial communication skills; foster teamwork through leadership and motivation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, store policies, and operational procedures while managing budgets effectively.
Skills
- Proven management experience within the retail industry with a strong background in sales team leadership and store operations.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to recruit top talent through effective interviewing techniques.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with proficiency in inventory management systems, POS systems, and retail math calculations.
- Demonstrated expertise in employee orientation, training & development programs, and supervising staff performance.
- Knowledge of payroll processing, bookkeeping practices, budgeting, and operational management principles.
- Exceptional customer service skills along with phone etiquette to enhance client satisfaction.
- Experience in merchandising, marketing initiatives, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently through excellent time management skills; adaptable to shift changes as needed.
- Basic math skills essential for cash handling accuracy; familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store experience is a plus.
