Looking for an experienced barista to join our café team on weekends! We're a small and fun specialty coffee shop that takes pride in creating really good drinks and providing a welcoming atmosphere for our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality, specialty espresso beverages and teas
- Engage with customers
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Recommend products from our retail selection
- Keep the café clean, organized and inviting
- Handle transactions and provide stellar customer service
- Be part of creating a warm, friendly environment
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older as we also sell wine and beer
- Passion for specialty coffee with 1+ years of experience
- Reliability and ability to handle fast-paced morning rushes while maintaining quality
- Excellent customer service skills
- Available for weekends - please note this position is for weekends primarily!
- Food Handler's certification (or willing to obtain)
Preferred Qualifications
- Latte art skills, or willing to learn from your team lead
- Experience with lever expresso machine or La Pavoni machines
- Retail experience
- Cash handling experience
- Interest in gourmet food
