Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Landfill Gas CQA & Survey Technician to support construction quality assurance (CQA), surveying, and field documentation for landfill gas and environmental construction projects. This is a hands-on, field-based position working around active construction sites, earthwork, and heavy equipment.

Duties
- Perform CQA inspections and construction observation for landfill gas systems.
- Assist with installation verification of gas wells, HDPE piping, headers, laterals, and condensate systems.
- Conduct field surveying using GPS survey rover and data collector.
- Verify line, grade, elevations, and system locations.
- Observe earthwork and construction activities around heavy equipment.
- Complete daily field reports, inspection logs, photographs, and documentation.
- Assist with as-built data and CQA report preparation.
- Communicate with contractors, engineers, and project managers.
- Follow site-specific health and safety requirements.
Qualifications

- Construction observation and documentation skills.
- General construction experience or knowledge.
- Experience working around earthwork and heavy equipment.
- Technologically skilled (Microsoft Word and Excel; AutoCAD knowledge preferred).
- GPS survey rover and data collector experience or ability to learn.
- HDPE pipe installation and/or fusion welding experience a plus.
- General technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Available for an average 45-hour work week.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Local to or able to work in the Seneca County, NY area.
Preferred Experience
- CQA/Environmental field technician experience (3+ years).
- Landfill or landfill gas system experience.
- Environmental engineering or environmental science education or training.
- Construction safety certifications (OSHA 10/30, HAZWOPER, etc.).
Pay: $35.00 per hour
