Royal Swim School is looking for Part-Time swim instructors!
Position Overview:
The Swim Instructor provides safe, engaging, and effective swim lessons for students of all ages and skill levels. This role requires a positive, energetic attitude, the ability to adapt to different learning styles, and a commitment to teaching the swim school curriculum consistently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct swim lessons in accordance with the established curriculum and safety guidelines.
- Be punctual, prepared, and professional for all scheduled lessons.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance for all scheduled shifts, providing advance notice for any absences when possible.
- Engage students using interactive, age-appropriate teaching methods.
- Adapt instruction to meet the needs of different ages, abilities, and learning styles.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining lesson quality.
- Ensure the safety of all students in and around the pool at all times.
- Create a positive, encouraging environment that builds student confidence.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with parents or guardians regarding progress and milestones.
- Encourage student retention by building strong relationships with families.
- Collaborate with deck supervisors and fellow instructors to ensure smooth lesson flow.
- Assist with pool and equipment setup and breakdown as needed.
- Track attendance and student progress accurately.
- Enforce pool rules and report safety or maintenance concerns promptly.
- Participate in ongoing training and staff meetings.
- Provide feedback to management on curriculum improvements or lesson effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Previous swim instruction or childcare experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with children of varying ages and skill levels.
- Comfortable working in and around water and demonstrating swim skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
