Manufacturing/Forge Machine/Press Operator
Base Wage: $19.24
Schedule:
- Forge Department 10 hour shifts. 6 am - 4 pm; 8 pm - 6 am.
- Processing Department 8 hour shifts. 6 am - 2 pm; 8 pm - 4 am.
- Training for the Processing employees will be done on dayshift and can move to nights upon completion of training.
Job Description: Perform assignments as a member of a group or crew engaged in the setup of a forging press. This is a direct hire opportunity for the successful candidate with the opportunity for advancement along with comprehensive benefits package.
Mayor Job Responsibilities: (Not all inclusive)
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure equipment is operated properly;
- Assist in the startup and preheating of furnaces and regulate temperatures;
- Load steel billets and ensure proper feed of billets into the induction furnace;
- Assist crew by acting as spray operator during forging operation;
- Obtain tools, fixtures, and dies, and handle materials necessary for production;
- Notify operator or supervision of any process issues;
- Complete all training requirements in a timely manner;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience is preferred;
- Ability to move equipment and materials weighing up to 80 pounds periodically;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with others in a team environment;
- Frequently ascend/descend stairs and work platforms;
- Ability to operate hand tools as required;
