A global freight forwarding company from Asia in the area of SeaTac Airport is looking for a new member to join their logistics coordinator / customer service team. This position is temp to hired. We will contract you minimum of 3 months, and our client will review your work performance and attendance during the 3 months. If they are happy with your performance, they will change you to direct hired.
You will be required to provide timely and professional support to customers, reporting to the Supervisor of customer service department. This role handles inquiries, tracks shipments, resolves issues, and provides product or service information, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities for Japanese and English Bilingual Customer Service Agent/ Logistics Coordinator:
- Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned customers (You will take care of Air and Ocean cargos and Wearhouse customers)
- Provide accurate and helpful information about products or services.
- Receive, review, and process customer requests related to inventory, storage, and value-added services.
- Provide inventory reports, status updates, and exception management to customers.
- Participate in customer calls, meetings, and operational reviews as required.
- Create and manage work orders for warehousing and value-added service activities.
- Coordinate inbound, outbound, and storage-related customer requirements.
- Schedule inventory movements and project activities based on customer needs and operational capacity.
- Other duties are assigned by your management team.
Qualifications for Japanese and English Bilingual Customer Service Agent/ Logistics Coordinator:
- Associate's degree or some college coursework in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of logistics operations or international shipping is asset.
- Familiarity with logistics software or data entry systems will be a plus.
- Previous experience in a customer service role will be a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in using office software.
- Willingness to learn new things.
- Work well as part of a team and individually.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
- Must be able to work in the office on weekdays (No home office or hybrid work)
- Japanese language skill is asset.
