Job Summary
Rye Beach Landscaping is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Hardscape Foreman to lead our hardscape installation crews on residential and commercial projects throughout the Seacoast region of New Hampshire. This is a full-time, year-round leadership position for a well-seasoned professional who can interpret plans and blueprints, understands the full range of hardscape products used in the industry, and can manage crews to deliver high-quality results safely, efficiently, and on schedule. During the winter months, this role will assist with snow services operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage hardscape crews on residential and commercial job sites
- Read, interpret, and execute landscape and hardscape plans, blueprints, and specifications
- Oversee installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, driveways, and related hardscape features
- Ensure proper site layout, base preparation, grading, drainage, compaction, and finishing
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of hardscape products including pavers, natural stone, wall systems, base materials, edge restraints, and polymeric sand
- Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, and ensure productivity and quality standards are met
- Train, mentor, and motivate crew members while maintaining a positive, professional job-site culture
- Maintain job-site safety, cleanliness, and organization at all times
- Communicate effectively with Operations and clients as needed
- Track materials, equipment, and job progress and report issues proactively
- Assist with snow plowing, sanding, shoveling, and other snow services during winter months
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in hardscape installation and crew leadership
- Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, landscape plans, and blueprints
- Strong understanding of industry-standard hardscape products and installation methods
- Ability to manage crews and job-site logistics
- Physically capable of performing outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
- Smart phone and driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with both residential and commercial hardscape projects
- Experience operating equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, plate compactors, and saws
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
