Retail Associate (Saturdays + Events)
We're looking for a warm, organized, and outgoing Retail Associate to be the face of our bakery on Saturdays.
This role is perfect for someone who loves connecting with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in creating an exceptional customer experience. This position is a 12-hour Saturday shift with additional opportunities to work events each month. For candidates interested in growing with our team, there is also the opportunity to train in our production kitchen based on interest and aptitude.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming experience for every guest
- Clearly communicate our menu and seasonal offerings while confidently assisting customers with purchases
- Drive retail sales through genuine product knowledge and recommendations
- Maintain the organization, cleanliness, and presentation of the front-of-house retail space
- Monitor and restock packaging and other front-of-house inventory
- Accurately document daily sales and other required records
- Communicate effectively with customers and fellow team members
- Assist with bakery events as needed
- Opportunity to cross-train and join the kitchen team for qualified candidates interested in expanding their role
Skills
- Previous experience in a culinary or food service environment is required; training will be provided.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques d is an asset.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
