Resident Tattoo Artist — Shared Studio / Flexible Schedule

KTSC is looking for multiple motivated tattoo artists who want a professional home base to work from while continuing to build their own clientele and personal brand.
This is not a traditional employee tattoo position and we’re not looking for one artist to occupy the room full-time.
We’re building a shared resident artist setup.
THE CONCEPT
Think of KTSC as your tattoo home base.
Have a client booked?
Schedule your time and come work.
Want to spend some time at KTSC, create content, promote availability and potentially pick up business?
Come through during approved availability.
Already have clients but don’t want the expense or commitment of maintaining your own full studio?
That’s exactly the type of artist we’re interested in meeting.
The tattoo space will be shared between a small group of approved resident artists, with artists scheduling blocks based on availability.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for artists who:
- Already tattoo and have a portfolio
- Have some existing clientele or are actively building one
- Want a consistent place to bring clients
- Are motivated to grow their name
- Promote themselves
- Use Instagram/TikTok/social media
- Create content around their work
- Communicate professionally with clients
- Respect shared spaces and equipment
- Keep their work area clean and sanitary
- Are dependable with appointments
- Want to be part of a creative environment
You do not need to be a famous or fully booked artist.
We actually want to meet talented artists who are still building.
BUILD YOUR OWN BRAND
You’re not coming into KTSC to become “the KTSC tattoo artist.”
Your clients are coming to see YOU.
We want each resident artist to continue building their own:
Name
Style
Portfolio
Social media
Clientele
Reputation
KTSC provides the environment and opportunity for multiple creatives to operate around one another.
We want artists who will promote themselves while also being comfortable cross-promoting what’s happening at KTSC.
HOW THE SHARED SPACE WORKS
The goal is to create a flexible system rather than requiring every artist to maintain fixed weekly shifts.
Resident artists will be able to request/book available tattoo-room time for their appointments.
For example:
Client books with you → Reserve an available time → Come in → Set up → Tattoo your client → Sanitize/reset the room for the next artist.
Artists may also have opportunities to spend approved open time at KTSC promoting availability, creating content and building clientele.
Because the studio is shared, communication, cleanliness and respecting scheduled time are extremely important.
YOUR CLIENTELE + KTSC TRAFFIC
We’re especially interested in artists who already bring some of their own customers.
At the same time, being inside KTSC can create additional exposure through:
- Clubhouse traffic
- Events
- Social-media content
- Cross-promotion
- Collaborations
- Special tattoo days
- Flash events
- Community events
- Referrals
The goal is for the relationship to work both ways.
You bring your clientele and creativity into the building.
KTSC gives you another environment to build from.
FLEXIBLE BUSINESS MODEL
Because we’re looking for multiple resident artists rather than one full-time employee, we’re developing a flexible shared-studio arrangement.
Depending on the artist and usage, arrangements may include:
Time/block-based studio use
Day-based studio use
Resident artist arrangements
Special event/flash-day arrangements
Exact terms, availability and responsibilities will be discussed before an artist joins the resident rotation.

Your portfolio and social media matter more to us than a traditional résumé.
IMPORTANT
Artists must meet all applicable New York City requirements to legally perform tattoo services and must follow all required health, sanitation and safety procedures.
We’re interested in building a professional resident artist community, not simply filling a room.
If you’re talented, motivated, building your clientele and looking for somewhere you can call your tattoo home base without operating an entire shop by yourself, we’d like to meet you.
