Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Metal Fabrication Shop Assistant to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will support the fabrication process by operating machinery, interpreting technical drawings, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a clean working environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with setup, operation, and maintenance of fabrication machinery including CNC laser cutters, CNC waterjet cutter, CNC press brakes, CNC mills, and more.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficient workflow and safety compliance
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to support fabrication tasks (bonus, but not required)
- Support welding and assembly processes by preparing materials and verifying measurements for accuracy (Bonus, but not required)
- Operate forklifts and cranes safely to move raw materials and finished components within the shop floor (Bonus, but not required)
- Follow safety protocols rigorously during all machine operations and material handling activities
Qualifications
- Experience with machine operation in a manufacturing or metal fabrication setting is a bonus
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols
