Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic, dependable, and customer-focused Café Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our Eureka café. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring an exceptional guest experience, supporting team members, maintaining operational standards, and leading by example.
The Café Supervisor works alongside baristas during each shift while helping coordinate daily operations, coaching employees, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. This position partners closely with senior leadership to support staffing, training, inventory, and overall café performance.
Essential Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service with every guest interaction.
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and café menu items.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business.
Leadership
- Lead daily shift operations and provide direction to baristas.
- Train new team members on company standards and procedures.
- Coach employees on customer service, beverage quality, and teamwork.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment.
- Communicate operational needs and opportunities to management.
Operations
- Open and close the café following established procedures.
- Ensure beverage and food quality standards are consistently met.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of ordering needs.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and stocking inventory.
- Ensure equipment is clean, maintained, and operating properly.
- Complete daily operational checklists.
Food Safety & Cleanliness
- Maintain a clean and organized café environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Administrative Support
- Assist with employee scheduling as requested.
- Support timekeeping accuracy and daily cash handling procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and product organization.
- Help implement seasonal promotions and merchandising displays.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of coffee shop, restaurant, hospitality, or retail leadership experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory or shift lead experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) system experience.
- Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) preferred.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
