Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new ideas and seasonal specials
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including food handling areas and equipment
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure hygiene and prevent contamination
- Handle food with care, using proper knife skills and cooking techniques to optimize flavor and presentation
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food efficiently
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
Experience
- Prior kitchen experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred
- Demonstrated culinary experience with a strong understanding of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen operations
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling procedures
- Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality
- Experience in the food industry involving catering or large-scale food service is advantageous
- Excellent knife skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating delicious dishes are essential
