Position Overview
The Treatment & Triage RN will be a key member of the Urgent Care team, responsible for managing the triage line, assessing patient needs, coordinating care, and providing direct nursing support.
This role works closely with:
Medical Providers
Medical Assistants
Phlebotomy staff
The clinic sees approximately 10-15 patients per day, primarily scheduled visits, while also welcoming walk-in patients requiring immediate care.
Responsibilities
Manage and respond to incoming triage calls
Assess patient symptoms and determine appropriate levels of care
Provide treatment and nursing support in an urgent care setting
Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to coordinate patient care
Educate patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up care
Document assessments, interventions, and patient communications accurately
Support a diverse and underserved patient population with compassion and professionalism
Qualifications
Required
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Previous triage experience (required)
Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Preferred
Emergency Room (ER) experience
Urgent Care experience
Outpatient clinic experience
Experience working with underserved or vulnerable populations
