Kingwood Tire and Auto, part of DIB Automotive Group with seven locations across the Houston area, is looking for a strong Automotive Service Advisor / Service Manager who knows the business, understands customers, and can help lead a busy shop.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone with real automotive experience, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to manage both customers and shop flow with confidence.

About the Role
- As an Automotive Service Advisor / Service Manager, you will be one of the main points of contact for our customers while helping manage the daily flow of the service department.
- You will work directly with customers, technicians, and management to make sure vehicles are inspected, recommendations are clearly communicated, repairs are completed properly, and customers receive the level of service they expect.
- This role is ideal for someone who can sell needed repairs honestly, explain technical information clearly, keep the shop moving, and help create a professional customer experience from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers professionally and identify their automotive service needs.
- Communicate clearly with customers about inspections, repair recommendations, pricing, timelines, and approvals.
- Coordinate with technicians to keep repairs and maintenance moving efficiently.
- Help manage daily service workflow, technician productivity, and overall shop performance.
- Review or coordinate vehicle inspections and recommend appropriate repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, services performed, parts used, and repair recommendations.
- Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Handle customer concerns or escalations professionally.
- Support a clean, organized, and professional service department.
- Assist with coaching, training, and developing team members when needed.
- Stay current on automotive repair processes, technology, and service best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive service advising, service management, or a related automotive repair role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Prior leadership or management experience in an automotive service environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
- Ability to manage workflow, prioritize tasks, and keep the service department moving efficiently.
- Experience with automotive diagnostic processes and shop management software.
- Familiarity with tire service, inspections, maintenance, and general repair operations.
- Professional, dependable, and committed to excellent customer service.
- Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced shop environment.
