Quality starts on the floor — and this role helps protect everything we build.
What’s The Job?
As a Quality Technician at Asahi/America, you will play a hands-on role in protecting the quality and performance of the products our customers rely on every day. This position is heavily focused on inspection activities, including detailed visual, dimensional, and functional inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify defects, troubleshoot issues, maintain inspection records, and support continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing operations. If you are detail-oriented, quality-driven, and take pride in precision and accuracy, this is an opportunity to make a direct impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You Will Own.
In this role, you will perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections to verify product quality and ensure compliance with technical specifications and company standards. You will document inspection results, maintain detailed quality records, and support reporting requirements tied to internal quality systems and regulatory compliance. You will identify non-conformances, assist with root cause investigations, and work closely with production and engineering teams to implement corrective and preventive actions. You will calibrate and maintain inspection and testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements while supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects and improving process efficiency. You will also help reinforce quality awareness throughout the organization by supporting training efforts and promoting adherence to ISO 9001 and company quality standards.
What Separates You From The Rest.
You bring a strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a manufacturing environment. With at least two years of experience as a Quality Technician or Inspector — preferably within manufacturing or plastics — you understand inspection processes, materials, testing methods, and quality documentation requirements. You are comfortable using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other quality control tools, and you possess strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and reporting. Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems is highly valued. You are organized, analytical, and capable of managing multiple priorities while communicating effectively with cross-functional teams. Most importantly, you are someone who takes ownership, solves problems, and helps maintain the high standards our customers expect.
