American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with a Maine or compact license and at least 1 year of experience for a Radiation Oncology department at a Level II Trauma Center in Bangor, ME.

Work in the Radiation Oncology department of a 411-bed Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center serving the majority of the state of Maine
-
Outpatient and inpatient care settings with a primarily adult and geriatric population and very few pediatric patients
-
Approximately 90 patients treated per day across three linacs

Equipment includes three Varian TrueBeam LINACs and one Siemens Somatom Go Open Pro CT Simulator

EMR: Mosaiq
-
Variable day shift schedule of 40 hours per week; shift structure may vary (4x10s, 4x9s with a half day, or 5x8s) based on volume

No weekends and no call required

Floating between linacs as needed

Holidays covered on a rotating basis with other techs

Active Maine state Radiation Therapy license or compact license required — license required if applicable

Current BLS and ARRT (T) certifications required

Minimum of 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience required

Experience with Mosaiq EMR preferred

Experience with Varian TrueBeam equipment preferred

Two professional references within the past year required, at least one from a supervisor, manager, director, or charge (peer references not accepted)

Full SSN, Driver's License, and copies of all certifications required for consideration

Flu vaccination required for clearance to start; medical exemptions only, subject to facility approval

Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles south or southwest of the facility in Bangor, ME to be eligible; candidates living 100+ miles north are considered on a case-by-case basis

Candidates who have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity are not eligible

All requested time off must be submitted at the time of profile consideration

Orientation is 1–1.5 weeks depending on experience and comfort level

4-week schedules provided to the best of the facility's ability
-
Scrubs in any solid, professional color are acceptable; scrubs can be provided by the facility if needed
