Responsibilities
- Take customer orders accurately using the POS system, and process transactions smoothly.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude.
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, including basic food handling and kitchen support.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including bussing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring proper sanitation practices.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through effective suggestive selling techniques.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, supporting the team as required.
- Manage cash register operations, process retail sales transactions, and handle cash with accuracy.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for providing excellent customer service.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math understanding for sales management.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities.
- Experience with operating kitchen equipment or working in a café environment is advantageous.
