Overview
Classen Home Health is seeking dedicated and compassionate Caregivers with a Personal Care Aide (PCA), Home Health Aide (HHA), and/or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in their Cortland-area homes. Part-time hours in Cortland available.
Classen also has opportunities to work on cases in Tompkins, Tioga, and Cayuga counties, in addition to Cortland. If willing to travel to these other areas, full time hours are an option. Join the leading homecare team in the area today!
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Monitor clients to ensure their good health and report any concerns to nursing staff promptly.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support clients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer’s disease and dementia through specialized techniques and compassionate engagement.
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices safely and effectively.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and meal prep.
- Drive your client to the grocery store, a doctor's appointment, or other errands.
- Support clients during hospice care or end-of-life situations with dignity, respect, and empathy.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in homecare and/or a long-term care facility like nursing homes or assisted living communities is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with the elderly and/or disabled.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including light housekeeping and assisting clients with ambulation.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
