Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar, ensuring exceptional service and a vibrant atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food and beverage management, with a focus on customer satisfaction, staff training, and inventory control. This role requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. A preferred candidate should be former military or an immediate military family member
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bar operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and cash handling.
- Train and develop bar staff in customer service excellence, drink preparation, and food handling procedures.
- Oversee the preparation of food items as needed, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Utilize POS systems such as ToastPOS for order processing and sales tracking.
- Knowledge of michigan lottery retail systems
- Maintain inventory control by conducting regular stock checks and placing orders for supplies as necessary.
- Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure seamless service during busy shifts.
- Implement effective budgeting strategies to optimize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
- Supervise staff performance, providing feedback and conducting interviews for new hires as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant or bar management with a focus on quick service
- Strong knowledge of food service management principles, including food safety regulations and culinary practices.
- Experience with inventory control systems and cash handling procedures.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of successful team management and staff training.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience in hospitality management or related fields is highly desirable.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
