Reptile Universe is looking for a dependable and hardworking Part-Time Critter Keeper to join our team. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with reptiles, rodents, and other animals and takes pride in keeping a clean, safe, and organized store.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain reptile enclosures and habitats
- Care for and clean rodent areas
- Feed and provide daily care for reptiles and other animals
- Monitor animals and report any health or behavior concerns
- Clean and sanitize animal-care areas and equipment
- Keep the store clean, organized, and presentable
- Properly handle animals and follow all animal-care procedures
- Assist customers and other team members when needed
Qualifications
- Comfortable working with reptiles, rodents, and other animals
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Hardworking and detail-oriented
- Comfortable performing cleaning and physical tasks
- Able to work around animal waste, food, and cleaning products
- Willing to learn proper animal care and handling
- Previous reptile or animal-care experience is a plus
