Position Summary
The Graphic Designer is responsible for designing custom signage, preparing artwork for production, and collaborating with our sales team and our production team to ensure every project is completed accurately and efficiently. This role combines creativity with technical knowledge to create designs that not only look great but can also be successfully manufactured and installed.
Responsibilities
- Design custom signs, graphics, banners, decals, and other signage.
- Create production-ready artwork and prepare files for printing, cutting, routing, and fabrication.
- Work directly with the sales team to understand project goals and incorporate feedback.
- Create proofs for customer approval.
- Ensure artwork meets production specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the production and installation teams to ensure smooth project completion.
- Make revisions and updates to existing artwork as needed.
- Organize and maintain digital design files.
- Assist with project planning, layout, and material selection when appropriate.
- Stay current with design trends and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience with Flexi is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and visual design.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the sign industry or large-format printing.
- Knowledge of vinyl cutting, wide-format printing, CNC routing, or sign fabrication processes.
- Experience preparing artwork for production equipment.
- Understanding of different sign materials and manufacturing methods.
