Golden Chick Cashiers are responsible for providing outstanding customer service while accurately taking customer orders, processing payments, and ensuring orders are assembled correctly. This position also helps maintain a clean, organized, and efficient restaurant environment to deliver a positive experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take customer orders accurately at the front counter and drive-thru (if applicable).
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process cash, credit/debit card, and other payment transactions accurately.
- Assemble and package customer orders, ensuring all food items, sides, condiments, utensils, and beverages are accurate and complete.
- Verify orders before handing them to customers to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness of the front counter, dining area, beverage station, and workstations.
- Restock cups, lids, napkins, condiments, packaging supplies, and other front-of-house items as needed.
- Assist with light food preparation and other restaurant duties when needed.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies.
- Work efficiently with kitchen staff and team members to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Perform opening, closing, and other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Basic math and cash handling skills.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order packing.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Previous cashier or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
