Description
We're seeking a full-time Production Manager to oversee our second-shift operation at our Westport facility.
The Production Manager will oversee six or more production employees working across three departments. This is a newly created position with the opportunity to shape and build our second-shift operation. You'll have significant input into production planning, staffing, workflow improvements, and process development.
This is not a desk job. We're looking for someone who enjoys leading people while working alongside them on the production floor.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and hands-on. They will communicate regularly with the first-shift Production Managers and the Operations Director to organize nightly, weekly, and monthly production schedules and determine staffing levels for the night shift.
Success in this role means keeping production on schedule, maintaining quality standards, supporting employees, and continuously improving efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate production priorities with first shift
- Organize nightly and weekly production schedules and ensure production goals are met
- Train and mentor production employees
- Perform tool changeovers
- Monitor quality control
- Close and secure the building at the end of the shift
- Send nightly production reports
- Identify production bottlenecks and recommend improvements
- Monitor productivity and labor efficiency
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Assist with equipment troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
- Assist with production as needed, including operating punch presses, wire benders, and automated welding equipment
Training
We don't expect candidates to have experience with our specific products or equipment. Training will be provided on our processes, products, and machinery.
We're looking for someone with manufacturing experience, strong leadership skills, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn.
Qualifications
- Experience operating CNC or automated manufacturing equipment
- Experience supervising a manufacturing or warehouse operation
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform tool changes and basic equipment maintenance
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office
- Experience with ERP software is a plus
- Ability to read and understand dimensioned drawings
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
Schedule
Monday–Friday
2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Occasional overtime as needed
Compensation
$33–$38 per hour
