North Atlantic Distribution is looking for a full-time, skilled and dependable Diesel / Automotive Mechanic to work on-site at a commercial property. This is a hands-on, versatile role for someone who can handle mechanical repairs while also stepping into equipment operation and towing duties when needed. Key Responsibilities:
· Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel trucks, light-duty vehicles, heavy equipment/ small equipment
· Perform preventative maintenance (oil changes, brakes, hydraulics, electrical, etc.)
· Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers, and other machinery as needed
· Assist with on-site towing and recovery operations
· Support snow removal operations during winter months
· Conduct routine inspections and keep maintenance records
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
· Respond to on-site mechanical issues quickly to minimize downtime
Qualifications:
· Experience as a diesel and/or automotive mechanic (required)
· Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics
· Experience operating heavy equipment (preferred)
· Towing and recovery experience a strong plus
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
·Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
· Valid driver’s license required (CDL a plus)
· Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
