Job Summary: Registered Nurse (RN) - Level 3 Trauma Emergency Room
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in our 24 bed, Level 3 Trauma Emergency Room, ranked #2 in Lifepoint Health. As an RN in our ER, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to patients experiencing a wide range of traumatic injuries and medical emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and critical conditions, including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and other medical emergencies.
Assessment and Triage: Quickly and accurately assess patient conditions, prioritize care based on severity, and initiate appropriate interventions.
Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Trauma Management: Administer life-saving treatments and interventions for trauma patients, including wound care, medication administration, and emergency resuscitation.
Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery and positive patient outcomes.
Documentation: Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Education and Support: Provide patient and family education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
Compliance: Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe and compliant environment for all patients and staff.
