Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Barista to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality protein shakes in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food and beverage preparation, POS systems, and retail operations within a welcoming setting. Previous barista experience and familiarity with food safety standards are preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of protein shakes and specialty drinks using high-powdered blenders
- Operate POS systems such as Toast POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries efficiently
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards
- Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels to ensure smooth operations
Experience
- Prior experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems like Toast POS and Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on creating a welcoming environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to perform retail math, cash handling, and basic math accurately
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Experience in shake preparation, serving, or café operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
