Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patients’ health status, including vital signs and overall well-being
- Help with meal preparation and nutritional needs tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Provide companionship and emotional support, especially for clients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory care need
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and ensuring a safe environment for clients
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
Skills
- Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in health or behavior promptly
- Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments helpful
- CPR certification and training in home health aide best practices
- Competence in assisting with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, meal prep, and light cleaning
- Ability to work independently while following care plans closely and adhering to safety protocols
