Location: Terrell, TX 75160
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $26.00 Hourly (DOE)
Shifts Available:
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday | 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
- Overtime is mandatory when required.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mazak Sheet Laser Operator Level 1 to support production operations. This role is responsible for ensuring quality and efficiency in material processing using sheet laser cutting systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate sheet laser cutting systems to process materials accurately and efficiently
- Inspect incoming materials for type, quality, and quantity; accept or reject as needed
- Inspect consumables including windows and nozzles
- Perform “tape shot” testing to verify nozzle centering
- Understand cut conditions and make minor adjustments to maintain optimal performance
- Perform basic maintenance on laser equipment, material handling systems, and exhaust systems
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift
- Complete end-of-shift cleanup (tools, equipment, machines, floors, and trash)
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management
Qualifications
- Experience with laser cutting systems or similar manufacturing equipment preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain quality standards
- Willingness to work in a production environment and adhere to safety requirements
