Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing ingredients, assisting in meal assembly, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety standards
- Support cooking processes by operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with menu planning and daily meal preparation for various service periods
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of high-quality meals
- Follow all health regulations and safety guidelines to uphold a safe working environment
- Contribute to catering events and special functions as needed
- Serve food efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred
- Proven kitchen experience within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including knife skills and meal assembly
- Familiarity with food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, catering, and food service operations is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a positive attitude towards service excellence
