Responsibilities:
- Support students’ academic, social, and behavioral development in classroom environments
- Offer 1:1 or small-group assistance under guidance from teachers and staff
- Aid with daily routines, transitions, and full classroom participation
- Implement behavior support plans and follow student IEPs as needed
- Assist with student mobility, supervision, and personal care tasks
- Help foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere for all learners
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum age of 18
- Current TB test compliant with district rules
- Able to stand, walk, and physically assist students as needed
- Willingness to obtain required clearances before starting
Preferred Experience:
- Previous work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or similar settings
- Familiarity with supporting students with autism, special needs, or behavioral challenges
- CPI, PMT, or RBT training is beneficial, but not required
- Reliable, patient, and a strong collaborator
