Literacy Learning Solutions creates personalized experiences for students to address their unique learning differences. Our team of talented and dedicated educators teach students in several subjects and areas, and we pride ourselves on the individual support and development we provide our teams.
We are looking for a dynamic and passionate teacher who can deliver reading, writing and math remediation in local charter schools in small groups and 1:1 sessions. We have both part-time and full-time opportunities available for this role. On-the-job coaching will be provided as needed.
Responsibilities of the Special Education Teacher will include:
- Document student progress with adherence to all reporting deadlines to the agency
- Provide clear communications to parents, on-site colleagues and agency supervisor
- Provide input for individualized education plan goals and objectives
- Administer informal assessments
- Attend or provide input for IEP meetings
- Adherence to all assigned on-site school policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the Science of Reading and Structured Literacy practices
- NH DOE General Special Educator, Reading/Writing Specialist, or Learning Disabilities Specialist endorsement is required.
- Certification, training, and/or experience with the Orton-Gillingham approach or Wilson Reading Systems preferred but not required. (If not currently held, we will provide this training.)
