Responsibilities
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Conduct behavioral therapy sessions with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, focusing on skill development and behavior management.
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), promoting independence in personal care, hygiene, and daily routines.
Collect accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and responses during therapy sessions to inform ongoing treatment adjustments.
Support the development and execution of educational and behavioral goals aligned with each client’s care plan.
Maintain detailed medical documentation, records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
Collaborate effectively with families, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies and support systems.
Experience
Prior experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, including ABA methods and behavior management strategies.
Familiarity with assisting clients with ADLs and implementing teaching strategies within a special education or behavioral health setting.
Experience in data collection, medical documentation, and maintaining accurate medical records.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, team members, and other healthcare professionals.
