Position Overview
The Roving Compliance Manager will travel across Eagle Point Management’s portfolio to support property management teams in maintaining compliance with affordable housing regulations, including Section 8, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), and other federal, state, and local programs. This role focuses on assisting with resident recertifications, audit preparations, Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) processes, and day-to-day compliance needs. The Roving Compliance Manager will report directly to the Director of Compliance and serve as a vital resource in ensuring that all properties adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance Support and Oversight
- Travel to various properties to provide hands-on assistance with compliance-related tasks, ensuring adherence to HUD, LIHTC, and other affordable housing program regulations.
- Conduct regular internal audits of resident files, income certifications, and compliance records to identify and correct potential deficiencies.
- Assist property management staff in preparing for Management and Occupancy Reviews (MORs), LIHTC audits, and other agency inspections, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Oversee and support the Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) process, ensuring proper use and security of EIV data.
- Resident Recertifications
- Facilitate annual and interim resident recertifications, including scheduling interviews, collecting necessary documentation, and verifying income and asset information.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of recertifications in accordance with program requirements and company policies.
- Provide guidance to property staff on complex recertification cases and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Training and Development
- Provide on-site training and support to property management teams on compliance procedures, documentation standards, and regulatory updates.
- Develop and deliver training materials to enhance staff understanding of compliance requirements and best practices.
- Mentor and support property staff to build their compliance expertise and ensure consistent application of policies across all properties.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all compliance activities, including audit findings, corrective actions, and training sessions.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to the Director of Compliance, highlighting areas of concern and recommending improvements.
- Ensure all resident files and compliance documentation are organized, complete, and stored securely in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience in affordable housing compliance, with at least three years in a role involving direct interaction with property management teams.
- In-depth knowledge of HUD regulations, Section 8, LIHTC, and other affordable housing program requirements.
- Demonstrated experience with resident recertifications, MORs, EIV processes, and audit preparations.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP), or Tax Credit Specialist (TCS) preferred.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and mentor staff effectively.
- Proficiency in property management software, compliance tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively to various property locations as needed.
Salary commensurate with experience.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
