About the Role:
We are looking for a hard-working Maintenance Planner-Scheduler employee to join our team. We are a food manufacturing facility that specializes in coextruded gels and casings. The Maintenance Planner-Scheduler plans and schedules all maintenance work to improve workforce productivity and quality by eliminating, in advance, potential delays and obstacles through effective planning and coordination of parts, machine time and manpower. Being the liaison between Production and Maintenance to support a reliable manufacturing platform. To ensure that the required inventory of Maintenance parts is maintained at correct levels, in usable condition and in easily identifiable locations. To raise purchase orders for Maintenance parts and Engineering services in JDE including goods receiving and invoice matching.
Skills:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Planning and Scheduling in a technical manufacturing environment. Excellent people skills.
High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to carry out data collection and validation.
Strong communication and influencing skills.
Good judgement and an ability to deal with various, complex priorities.
A broad Maintenance/Engineering background – production/manufacturing knowledge will be an advantage.
Knowledge:
Scheduling day-to-day labour hours and resources for the most effective production and maintenance outcomes, including Legislative, Safety and Food Safety compliance. Maximising resources ( any special tools, parts, machine time and manpower) through effectively planning the relevant repair, preventive, predictive and improvement maintenance activities for the plant and facilities.Liaising with Maintenance Manager and Team Leader group to prioritise work orders and identify current and future maintenance requirements and develop daily, weekly and monthly labour schedules. Reporting on planning and scheduling metrics including backlog, STIC and PPM data, as well as analysing Maintenance KPI-related data, providing information to the team. Development of the CMMS to support maintenance strategies which optimise manufacturing uptime. Training of all Maintenance personnel on the use of the CMMS, ensuring information is logged accurately. Close communications with originators of Work Order Requests to ensure the scope and expectations are fully met prior to request approvals and initiate necessary proactive work orders for additional work based on the feedback from completed work orders. Ensuring regular two-way communications by working closely with all maintenance and production personnel. Plan number of Work hours and duration hours to complete the job. Designate any job safety requirements. To utilise fully the Stores / Inventory Management and site ERP software systems to manage workflow and to ensure that financial transactions involving purchasing, receiving and invoice matching are implemented in line with site Financial requirements in a timely manner. To ensure that the required inventory of Maintenance parts is maintained at correct levels in a usable condition and can be located quickly using an appropriate location control methodology
