Responsibilities
- Prepare dough and filling ingredients with accuracy and efficiency
- Shape and assemble dumplings according to established recipes and techniques
- Operate kitchen equipment such as steamers, fryers, and ovens safely and effectively
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station in compliance with food safety standards
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper manual handling and use of heavy equipment when necessary
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and rotating stock
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and ensure timely service delivery
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, especially related to dumpling making
- Experience working in a busy kitchen or food production environment
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as steamers, fryers, or other kitchen machinery safely
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including inventory management, order picking, shipping & receiving
- Skilled in manual handling, heavy lifting, and the use of materials handling equipment like pallet jacks or clamp trucks
- Basic math skills for portioning ingredients and managing stock levels
- Adherence to safety protocols including OSHA standards and proper use of warehouse safety equipment such as RF scanners, forklifts, cranes, and load/unload machinery
