Position Overview
The Assistant Warehouse Manager works directly alongside the Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations and workflow. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient execution across all core functions, including shipping, receiving, inventory handling, and pallet preparation.
The ideal candidate brings proven leadership experience in a warehouse setting and possesses a active forklift certification. You will help direct daily tasks, maintain high safety standards, and keep the facility organized to support uninterrupted production and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily operations and workflow
- Manage inbound receiving, product inspection, and stock replenishment
- Coordinate outbound shipping, order fulfillment, and pallet wrapping
- Safely operate forklifts to unload, move, and stack materials
- Assist in directing warehouse staff and ensuring safety protocol compliance
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and an organized facility layout
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Warehouse Manager, Assistant Manager, or Lead
- Active Forklift Certification with strong material handling skills
- Hands-on knowledge of shipping, receiving, and pallet prep procedures
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational capabilities
- Physical ability to lift materials and work actively on the floor
Preferred:
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software
- Background in consumer goods, raw materials, or manufacturing operations
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
